Product description: The Essential Oil of Ginger Lilly aka Spiked Ginger Lilly, Butterfly Lily, Garland Lilly, Kapoor Kachri, Takhelli etc. is steam distilled from the rhizomes and flowers of Hedychium spicatum, a small resilient plant with bright, large white and orange flowers indigenous to the subtropical regions of the Himalayas, China, Myanmar, Thailand, and Ethiopia. It has also been found in areas of Europe and The Americas and it is the national flower of Cuba where it is known as "Flor de Pariposa".
In India, it is grown by farmers in the rural mountain areas of Himachal Pradash, located on the Indian side of the Himalayas, 1500-2500 meters above sea level between February to April and has an annual production of only 2-3 tonnes, which makes this a rare oil.
This essential oil has been used in the manufacture of perfumes and body care products for its spicy, sweet, woody yet somehow bitter scent and its rejuvenating, toning effect on the skin.
Blends well with: Essential oils of Bergamot, Cinnamon Bark, Frankincense, Geranium, Ginger, Jasmine, Neroli, Orange Sweet, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Petitgrain, Rose, Rose Geranium, Rosemary, Ruh Khus, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Ylang Ylang.
Note: Product colors and aroma profiles are intended to represent the typical and approximate color and scent of each oil. However, both can vary based on harvesting, distillation and other factors. These variations should not affect the efficacy of the product.
